Opportunity Description
International Deadline: May 31, 2024 – The Chianciano Art Biennale is a true celebration of artistic diversity. With over 150 artists selected for the show, contemporary art will be in the company of talents from all corners of the world. Across 13 art galleries and the Chianciano Art Museum, the exhibition will be adorned with masterpieces, while additional exhibitions, including the likes of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and Giorgio Armani, will grace the remaining walls.
For over a decade, the Chianciano Art Biennale has stood as a beacon of artistic excellence, attracting talents from across the globe. Now, in its 8th edition, the Biennale continues to evolve and inspire, providing artists with the opportunity to leave their mark on the global art scene.
The Chianciano Biennale is located in the heart of Tuscany, taking place from the 3rd to the 18th of August 2024.
ELIGIBILITY
There are no submission requirements for the Chianciano Biennale, the applications are open to all living artists without discrimination and wholly on the basis of the artwork itself. Great art has never been limited to established powers, therefore our application process is the same- no requirements, just submit the artwork you feel best represents you.
The selection process is rigorous and allows critics and collectors to admire works of excellent quality both in the Art Museum and in the Clancianum Galleries, where contemporary art creates a magnificent contrast with the historic architecture of the medieval town.
AWARDS
Your artistic journey doesn’t end with the exhibition. The Chianciano Art Biennale offers numerous awards. Additionally, winning artists receive the coveted recognition of automatic approval for the prestigious London Art Biennale 2025, our sister exhibition.
- €2,500 Euros Chianciano Biennale Best Work
- €1,000 Euros Chianciano Biennale Award for Painting
- €1,000 Euros Chianciano Biennale Award for Sculpture / Installation
- £1,000 Euros Chianciano Biennale Award for Work on Paper
- ARTSY artist profiles for 10 artists
Plus:
- Five artists will be automatically approved / selected to participate in the London Art Biennale 2025
- Five artists will be selected for a week-long art retreat in Tuscany at the Chianciano Arts Club Boutique Hotel
ENTRY FEE
€ 40 Euros for each work presented for selection. The fee covers administrative costs and is non-refundable regardless of the outcome of the selection process. Once a work of art has been accepted for the exhibition there are no other costs.
SALES
Exhibited artworks do not need to be for sale, it is the artist’s choice and artworks can be exhibited as “not for sale”. For artworks that are for sale, prices and information will be available with the Chianciano Biennale staff or printed on the label. The Biennale does not take any commissions on sales and will only withhold costs related to the transaction.
