Compete 2021 CVG Show
U.S. Regional Deadline: November 29, 2020 – Collective Visions Gallery announces the Fourteenth Annual CVG Show, an all media statewide juried art competition for Photography/ Digital, Two-Dimensional and Three-Dimensional art.
All artists must be 18 years of age or older, and be a resident of Washington State. Entries must be original, entirely the work of the entrant, and executed within the past three years (since 1/1/2017). Work must have been done without the supervision of an instructor. Copies of existing artworks or works solely based on copyrighted artworks are not eligible. All work must be gallery-ready for display, with the appropriate framing, hanging wires, supports, etc. (No sawtooth hangers allowed)
Michael D’Alessandro is the Executive Director of Northwind Arts Center, in Port Townsend, Washington. After a 12-year career in architecture, Michael left the profession to pursue a second career in the arts. Cash awards are offered in first ($900), second ($500) and third ($250) place in all three categories, as well as Mayor’s Choice/Best of Show ($1500) and Best of Kitsap ($1000). In addition, there is a Purchase Prize Fund of $2550 from our sponsors, a People’s Choice Award ($300) and ten Honorable Mention Awards (valued at $25 each).
$45.00 total, for one to two artworks.
A maximum of TWO entries per artist is permitted. Artists may enter more than one category. All entries will be juried from digital images. Awards will be judged from the original works of art.
Collective Visions Gallery, CVG, is the largest commercial art gallery in Kitsap County, and at 25 years, the oldest gallery in Bremerton. The gallery is chartered in the state as a nonprofit corporation. CVG is an association of Professional Artists working together to encourage a passion for the visual arts through a program of art sales, exhibits, lectures, concerts, and other art-related events designed to connect the gallery to the community.
