Opportunity Description

International Deadline: April 1, 2023 – Emergent Art Space (EAS) is issuing an international ‘Call for Art’ for a virtual and live exhibition that will feature the work of young artists responding to the theme of Art & Human Rights.

EAS believes that the arts are a powerful tool for communication, understanding and connection—making a difference in a world filled with tension and strife. We are offering an exhibition opportunity and platform for young artists to creatively address issues of human rights and peril in our current time.

When & Where: May 29 – June 10, 2023

  • Virtual Exhibition via Emergent Art Space Website – Up to 30 artists’ artworks will be selected.
  • Live Exhibition at the University of Concordia in Montreal, Canada – Up to 6 artists will also be invited to ship and show their physical work at this site, as part of a larger exhibition; a video of the virtual show will also have a presence at the live exhibition.

Young artists from around the world ages 18-35.

First Place $500 | Second Place $300 | Third Place $300


We believe that the language of art has the power to communicate across geographic and cultural distances, to open new perspectives on our experience in the world, to facilitate the understanding of experiences and traditions different from our own.

Founded in 2012, Emergent Art Space is an international non-profit organization based in San Francisco, California. We welcome artists in all fields of visual arts, still in school or under 30.
