RFP/Q's RFQ: Seeking Sculptors for Outdoor Holocaust Installation
Opportunity Description
International Deadline: January 31, 2025 – Artists with experience with outdoor sites are invited to pre-qualify to create art for multi-disciplinary installation that will interpret the history of the Holocaust and the post-Holocaust stories of survivors. Installation will include contemporary art, archival photography, testimonies and poetry plus video kiosks.
ELIGIBILITY
The range of visual elements required to interpret the narrative of the CHMEC requires a similar range of design skills. These may include artists, illustrators, graphic designers, and design teams.
Eligible applicants will:
- Demonstrate a commitment to their art or design career through a body of work, exhibition, client portfolios, or other analogous professional activities.
- Have experience with outdoor projects (except 2D artists) including familiarity with materials suitable for the Florida climate, or indicate members of the design team with this experience and credentials.
- Demonstrate the ability to design and execute work of similar scale and excellent quality and deliver within eighteen months (maximum, preferably up to twelve) of receiving a commission.
BUDGET
Finalists will be paid an honorarium to develop a site-specific proposal. A total art budget of $1 million will be allocated among commissions.
