International Deadline: June 24, 2022 – DANOK Inc. located in Los Angeles, California opens a call for entry to female artists eighteen and older for an exhibition “Paradigm-Her Era.” The exhibition will be held at Lee & Lee Gallery in Los Angeles, California between August 27, 2022 to September 02, 2022.
About the Exhibition:
A paradigm is a collection of theoretical frameworks or concepts that dominate the view or thoughts of people of any one era. It refers to a system of ideas or beliefs that fundamentally restrict ideas, actions, and lifestyles in social groups, and a system of thoughts and consciousness that reflects historical and social thoughts. Human beings, who have lived in ideologies created from the male perspective for centuries, gradually and globally revealed “women” and eventually became prevalent in women’s rights, feminism. It is time for the paradigm of deep consciousness to be rebuilt with equality and fairness, not absurdity and irrationality, and its fine effective confrontation. What are the modern attitudes of women, men, and humans to welcome a new paradigm in order for society’s dominant reason and sensibility to fully support women’s existence and culture to become a concept of the time?
ELIGIBILITY
The call for entry is open to female artists eighteen and older. Only two-dimensional works may be entered. No dimension of any piece may exceed 30” in width. Works must have been created in the last three years.
AWARD
One finalist will be given $500
ENTRY FEE
Limit of five entries total. $37 for two entries, $5 for each additional piece (Maximum of five entries permitted). Paid electronically.
APPLY ONLINE
All submissions must be submitted online.
Selected artists will receive emails between June 29, 2022, to July 09, 2022. Provide artist information, bio, resume, artist statement, and digital image for each entered artwork (~2 mb) with artwork information (title, year of creation, medium, dimensions, and price or value for each entered artwork).
INSURANCE
Artists must provide any insurance if they want artworks to be insured.
SHIPMENT & DELIVERY
Hanging works must be properly and securely framed, or professionally presented, or wired and ready to hang; no sawtooth hanger is accepted. Work on paper must be framed. Artists are responsible for the round-trip shipping of artworks. All US shipments must include a prepaid UPS or FedEx return label (USPS stamps will not be accepted). Outside of the US shipment will be quoted and will receive a separate email with an estimated return shipping fee. All shipments must be shipped in a container suitable to re-use for return shipping. No peanut packing allowed.
SALES
DANOK Inc. retains a 40% commission on all exhibition sales.
